Der-Yang Cho

Superintendent

Dr. Cho has served as a pediatric neurosurgery researcher at the University of California, San Francisco. He is known for his kindness and humility and was named one of the top 100 doctors. He specializes in all types of neurosurgery, especially brain tumors, immune treatments, and exosome research, and is a leading figure in Chinese neurosurgery.

Hsien-Te Chen

Director

Dr. Hsien-Te Chen is the Director of the Orthopedic Department and Spine Center at China Medical University Hospital. He holds multiple leadership roles, including board member of the Taiwan Orthopedic Association and Executive Director of the Taiwan Spine Society. Dr. Chen specializes in spinal surgeries, particularly scoliosis correction, spinal degeneration, trauma, tumors, and minimally invasive spine surgery. He is also experienced in stem cell therapy and has received the 14th National Innovation Award for his work on a spinal fusion simulation system. Over the past five years, he has published 36 SCI-indexed papers in the field of spine surgery.

Cheng-Di Chiu

Dr. Chiu is the Director of the Minimal invasive spinal neurosurgery, Deputy director of spine center, MIS spine / stem cell therapy for spinal cord injury and nerve regeneration and a collaborator with the Medical Intelligence Center. He studied at Kyoto University in Japan and is known for his excellent skills in minimally invasive spine surgery, endoscopic surgery, and spinal tumor surgeries. He is recognized for his research in spinal cord injury stem cell treatments.

Dr. Chun Tseng is an attending spine surgeon and assistant professor at China Medical University Hospital (CMUH), one of Taiwan's leading academic medical centers. He specializes in endoscopic spine surgery, 3D computer-navigated minimally invasive procedures, and interventional pain management. With nearly 1,000 endoscopic spine procedures performed, Dr. Tseng is dedicated to providing personalized, evidence-based solutions — from conservative care to advanced surgical interventions — with the goal of restoring each patient's quality of life through minimal tissue disruption. Dr. Tseng holds a Ph.D. from the Graduate Institute of Biomedical Sciences at China Medical University. He currently serves as Secretary-General of the Taiwan Society of Endoscopic Spine Surgery (TSESS) and Supervisor of the Taiwan Society of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery (TSMISS). He has completed advanced clinical fellowships at internationally renowned spine centers, including Schulthess Klinik (AO Spine, Switzerland), Nanoori Hospital (South Korea), National University Hospital (Singapore), and CCV Montpellier Spinal Surgery Centre (France). He actively contributes to the global advancement of minimally invasive spine surgery through international conference presentations and peer-reviewed publications.
