In terms of long-term care for the underprivileged, collaborated with the Labor Bureau, Taichung City Government and the Taichung Welfare Foundation for the Blind” to establish “Visually Impaired Massage Stops”, and was praised by the Taichung City Government.
In response to the Hospital’s development, Social worker organization adjustment; established Medical social workers group and social resource group, mainly responsible for clinical cases, disease alliances, group & volunteer services etc.

Social Worker group was changed to social worker office, Psychiatric Medical Department social workers were integrated to the Hospital’s social worker force.

In response to the Hospital’s policy in community health, social worker team was transferred to affiliation with the Department of Community Medicine.
1984
In order to provide comprehensive medical services, the Hospital established a social worker team, employed professional social workers and assisted patients and family coupe with social, mental, family and financial problems associated with the disease.
